I'm Mariano J. Perez, a comic book creator, illustrator, and multidisciplinary designer based in New York City. My creative journey began with a passion for cartooning, comics, and visual storytelling, leading me to study illustration at the School of Visual Arts. Storytelling remains at the heart of everything I create, from original comic books and sequential art to character design and narrative-driven illustrations.

As the creator of Omekeyon, I develop stories from concept to completion, combining writing, illustration, world-building, and visual design to craft immersive reading experiences. My work explores character, culture, adventure, and imagination through engaging visual narratives.

Alongside my comic book work, I bring more than a decade of experience in graphic design, UX/UI, motion graphics, and 3D visualization. This diverse background strengthens my storytelling approach, allowing me to create compelling visuals across print, digital, and interactive media. Proficient in Adobe Creative Suite, Figma, and other industry-standard tools, I approach every project with creativity, precision, and a strong understanding of visual communication.
